Gains Weight:
Mostly gained at my waist.
Lifestyle (prior to program):
Exercise a little once or twice a week.
Background: I'm a classic computer geek who never liked sports or team athletics. I've always had the philosophy that it's easier to maintain weight than lose it later.

To that end, I've made significant dietary changes at key points in my life. At 25, I gave up my 6 cans of Mt. Dew a day. At 30, I switched to diet soda and started using portion control. Now at 33, "diet changes alone" aren't enough. I'd worn size 30x30 pants since I was a sophomore in High school, but I just had to buy my first pair of 32x30's.

Faced with the alternative of “buying all new clothes” or “loosing the weight and getting in shape”, I’m choosing to improve my body.

I had a extremely painful recovery from throat surgery in October, and the pain gave me a new perspective on discomfort and suffering. I used to think that intense exercise was ”too uncomfortable” and “hurt too much”, but now I know that burning and aching muscles are merely fleeting irritations.
Goals:
  1. Gain muscle definition.
  2. Build muscle mass.
  3. Personally test the importance, significance, and value of supplementation in workout regiments.
  4. Develop a highly toned, sexy physique for my gorgeous wife and I to enjoy together!
