skippy Natural Peanut butter

Just wondering if the skippy Natural is just as good as the other natural peanut butters? I like peanut butter and skippy natural tastes pretty good. Hoping it would work..

The nutrition label looks good. What are the ingredients? I couldn't find them online.

Depends on what your goal is regarding "just as good." I agree with you about the taste, and I personally believe that it is just fine to eat. There are others who take a more conservative approach and castigate palm oil and the small amount of salt in this type of PB. Other than taste, I suppose if someone avoids this brand of PB because of the ingredients, then maybe they have a reason...but I can't really think of any that would persuade me.

There is a thread on this that is pretty recent (last month or so) but I can't find it right now. FWIW, I eat this PB that you are asking about daily.

Plus with so small of a serving size, even if there is less-than-perfect stuff in it, you're not getting a whole lot of it at once.

Depends it you want to go saturated fat free or not. It contains palm oil, which is one the worst saturated fats-that is what keeps it solid at room temperature. It is recommended that you only consume 10% of your calories from saturated fats. If you have family history of high cholesterol, or have it yourself, I would skip it. I admit, I used to eat that stuff with a spoon..yum. but not anymore..

Ah, I am a bit of a foodie... I won't eat any nut butters that contain anything except the nut and perhaps a healthy fat (ie, sunflower oil added to cashew butter)
