BadA$$ - Thirsty Thursday.
The importance of Water
Water is important to the mechanics of the human body. The body cannot work without it, just as a car cannot run without gas and oil. In fact, all the cell and organ functions made up in our entire anatomy and physiology depend on water for their functioning.
Water serves as a lubricant Water forms the base for saliva
Water forms the fluids that surround the joints.
Water regulates the body temperature, as the cooling and heating is distributed through perspiration.
Water helps to alleviate constipation by moving food through the intestinal tract and thereby eliminating waste- the best detox agent.
Regulates metabolism
In addition to the daily maintenance of our bodies, water also plays a key role in the prevention of disease. Drinking eight glasses of water daily can decrease the risk of colon cancer by 45%, bladder cancer by 50% and it can potentially even reduce the risk of breast cancer. And those are just a few examples! As you follow other links on our website, you can read more in depth about how water can aid in the prevention and cure of many types of diseases, ailments and disorders that affect the many systems of our bodies.
Planning on HIIT this afternoon. Gonna hit my 10's. One of my goals is not to lose too much weight, but get leaner and keep / add muscle mass. I can accomplish that if only I can get under 10% BF. I've been working on that for 2 yrs. Hopefully this challenge will help motivate me to accomplish it.
Welcome all new Team members. Welcome to the challenge. If you haven't signed up for the team, do so now and Heidi will appove them. Don't forget to get your pics in.
This is one BadA$$ Modda!!

Morning Rich! Awesome post!
I second the 'get on here and apply and I'll approve you!'
Here is Wednesday's thread. Not a lot of time for chatting today - last day downtown and my design boss dropped a ton of work off at my house last night to get done before tomorrow. UGH. Crapola.
I missed my workout last night - DH and I had a wake to go to for a friend's dad so we bolted down a little dinner and ran right back out the door after work. Tonight I have to double up. Sigh.
Will catch you crazy kids later!

Morning Teamies!!!
Got my HIIT in this morning. It feels so much better to get it in in the morning.
Drank a gallon of water yesterday and have about a 1/2 gallon down already. I drink a lot more on HIIT days.
Rich- Thanks for the start and reminding us about the water. Oh, yea- It's Thirsty Thursday. 10% Body fat, that's a great goal. I know you can do it.
Heidi- Busy girl lately?! Good luck with all your projects and doubling up tonight. I know you can do it too.
Shona- Did you have a different screen name or is there 2 Shonas? Oh, you must be new you have only posted one time. Nice to meet you. 3 hours of tennis?! That's a nice workout. I wish I had someone to play with. I was on the tennis team in HS but I don't know anyone who can hit the ball back to me.
Hey, maybe you aren't new. The "other" Shona plays a lot of tennis too. My mind seems to be racing this morning. First morning back to work this week. It's going to be a long one..
Have a great day.

I'm embarressed, I didn't post earlier because I didn't see a BADA$$ Friday thread... I'm tired. Crushed my LBWO yesterday then played dodgeball an hour later. We lost. Oh well, I blame my exhausted legs which made me an easy target.
Anyways, work til 11 then school til 2, then off to the gym for HIIT!
Later!

But I see you self-removed - and it looks like you started a new profile. You CAN use the old one and change the name on it, if you want. You just go to the Forums page, then hit forums settings and you can change your name to whatever you want.
Now you'll have to re-apply under your new profile. Let me know when you've done that and I can approve it.
Did y'all see the team challenge pic thread? Rule is that if you're in the BEFORE pic, you have to be in the AFTER. That means that if you want to be imortalized in tracker history - you'd better work towards those smokin' AFTERS!!!!

Oh Alex you need some coffee or something! It's going to be a long day for you if you think it's Friday. Glad to hear you got in a great workout last night!
Mel - You make me want to pee with all of that water drinking! Good job getting your workout in already too.
Shona - I was worried yesterday when you removed yourself, but I see you just changed your screen name! Your before pics look like after pics. You're going to rock this challenge! I can see your abs already that must be from all of the tennis.
Heidi - Sorry about having to go to a wake. That is so nice of you guys to support your friend. I have to double up today too! Once I get off the computer I'm headed to the gym.
Rich - Thanks for the start! I always need a reminder to drink the H20. Great article! I think if you keep doing what you are doing you will be just fine getting lean.
As for me... I'm headed to the gym once I'm off the computer and get the kids dressed. HIIT and a LBWO today. I have another busy day. I have to visit my Great-Uncle and deal with some paperwork for him. He lives about 45 min. away, so it will be an all day thing. My mom is going to meet me to help out with the boys. This has been stressing me out for a week, so I will be happy for it to be over with!
Have a great day team... CLEAN EATS & KICK A$$ WORKOUTS!

Mark I missed you yesterday! Welcome back you must have been here before I joined back in July. Would you mind re-introducing yourself? Your results from your last challenge were awesome!
Nathan - From yesterday... When I did C1 I did the workouts by the book. When my challenge ended I slacked off a bit and just did like 3 reps of a med/hard weight for each exercise. When I started this challenge I went back to the book and noticed it really pumps my muscles and I get a WAY better workout! It's no wonder I lost a lot of my muscle in the last 6 months. Watch out now I plan on being ripped in 12 weeks! Just hope DH doesn't get grossed out by all of my muscles. He likes a softer look

Alright people...thanks to the persuasive powers of our fearless leader Heidi I am a resurrected Bad-A$$
I have been MIA lately as far as posting on Tracker and on the team thread, although I have been lurking here and there for the past few months so now it's time for me to re-surface and become accountable again.
As far as the team challenge goes, I'm in!!! Nothing beats a little kick in the rear from a Bad-A$$ group of people.
For starters, whats up to all the vets, did ya miss me??? I missed you too and to all the noobs, HI! I look forward to getting to know all of you
A little intro for those who don't know me: My name is Jess, I am 28, graduated from University of Missouri with a degree in Finance. I am the Senior Analyst for a commercial real estate loan servicer and I basically read loan/legal docs all day and crunch numbers....exciting huh? Single but just dating a new girl named Darla, we have pretty much hit it off so I'll keep ya'll posted about that later. I enjoy the outdoors, hunting, fishing, going to the lake, remodeling my house, riding motorcycles and of course working out! thats all for now.
Keep the eats clean today and chug that water. Later Bad-a$$es!

Quick hello.
LBWO for me today. Overall good effort. 7/10 of max weight ever (in my 30s) without too much of a struggle. Def feel the power coming back.
Plan on a walk or easy eliptical tonight for loosening up.
Heidi, yes, I know, I know I know, I will get the pics up tonight.

OMG, I don't even know where to begin! WE ARE ON FIRE!!!! I dare any other teams to even come close! OOOUUUCCCHHH!!!!!
Ha! I love all the new faces. I am a little slow, and it may take me a little bit to remember the details of everyone! ...and personals, wow, that may take all day!
Shona: I remember you from somewhere. Were you on this team before, or team push? welcome back!!!
Jess!!! Long time ole friend. Glad to see you back here and just in time to get those muscles rock hard for your new girl
Mark: great job on C1! C2 will knock it out of the park!
Nathan: Did you get those goals in writing yet? No stopping this time, you have too much accountability now!
Erik: So, I take it you love spin? I am pretty hot about it too! I try to hurt the spin bike a couple of times a week. I was on it yesterday, actually. And, I agree, it is one of the best cardio workouts!
Mel: great job on the water. I am behind for the day...I will catch up though!!!
Coop: Ha, I only wish it were Friday! It will be soon enough!
Becky: hope all goes well today. I know how much you have been dreading it!
Heidi: Today is the last day!!!! WHHHOOOOHHHOOOO Double up tonight and then I bet you will be back on track. How in the world are you going to photoshop all the people together??? Sounds like a job for superman!
Yesterday was a killer LBWO followed by 25 min of spin. Today is UBWO. Eats have been squeeky. I haven't jumped on the scale, but I am feeling good. I am leaving tomorrow for Destin, FL and hit the sand and sun. I think it will be in the 70's, and sunny. As long as I can read some trashy magazines and not have to chase around my 3 year old, it sounds like a vaca to me!!!!
Keep it Bad A$$ !!!!!

Hey All,
Susan, if you check in, can you let me know if you can post your pics? You don't have 'open to public viewing' on your account so I can't get in there to snag 'em. If you don't want to post them online and prefer to just send them to me, let me know and I'll send you my email address. - Knowing that I'M going to post them online once I get 'em
So right now I am MISSING photos for:
Susan
Erik
Alex
MarcC - if he's participating
Jess
PHEW! We've got one hell of a team!
And somebody asked about Debbie - She has jury duty all week and they probably won't understand if she is checking Tracker during the proceedings.
Ok, I'm child wrangling then working out. Then WORKING. My boss dropped a huge set of corrections to my house last night that I didn't get to due to the wake and then TONIGHT when I got home there was another huge package!!! WTF!?!?! I wanted to cry. Ugh. Going to run instead. Crying is for babies. Blahhhhhhh.
LATER!

Nevermind I went to the gym, did 14m of HIIT on bike and got bored so I ran to the treadmill and hit my 10s. You know you hit a 10 when u still have 20seconds left on an interval and you cant breathe and you get side splints. hahaha.
Oh and congrats on the motivation njberlier01 (whats your name? ) Those goals help.

Hey all, thanks for the welcome and the compliments on Challenge 1. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Mark, I completed my first official challenge last year. I struggle with my weight lifting work outs, but find I can easily follow the diet and cardio. I train MMA, although have been out for about 6 months now, I love the outdoors, Jeeps, camping and my family which consists of my wife, 2 little girls and 2 Boxers. That's me in a nut shell.
Looking forward to getting to know you all, catching up with my old Bad A$$ers, and kicking all the other teams A$$es in this team challenge.
Mark
