No wise words from me, either. Not today.
Pam is in my thoughts too!!!!!!!!!!
7 miles this AM, with 5 at 8:27. I was short on time, so I've decided that later today I'll do a nice stretch (maybe a bit of yoga perhaps?) and abs/core.
D leaves this afternoon for Wisconsin for his Grandma's services. I'm a bit on edge because of it. I am a confident person and KNOW my heart and where WE stand....but I am super jealous (to be completely honest) that it's not me there with him instead of his ex (she's still very close with his family so I understand it, but it's still hard knowing somebody else is going thru this with him instead of me.) A bit selfish, but it is what it is. This will be the first time we haven't seen each other since 'this' all began in December. MAN....I feel like a school girl! I'll just have to keep myself busy, right?
Ok.....I have to scoot to work...make your day count and HIT IT HARD, no matter what you're doing!
Keep on truckin', mama!

Yay, I'm up to 7.25 miles today I slept in -- didn't wake up till 7:08am -- yippee skippee! Took my sweet time & then went for my run.
Gayle, I'm sorry that you & D have to be apart for this time I get that you'd want to be the shoulder to cry on, there'll be plenty of time for that when he gets home.
Hi Nicole, thanks for getting us started today
Pam, hope you're doing well!

OK...so D is off to his parents and the limo will be picking up the entire gang of 12 to take to the airport....now it's a matter of time waiting to hear they all landed safely and to bide my time till Sunday night. Ho hum. I picked up a book from the library that I've tasked myself with reading to keep me a bit busy, and I want to scrapbook (who suggested that the other night, Julia? Nicole? Great idea!) and tonight I'm making the EFL Beef Barley Soup.
After we packed his bag, he asked me to leave the bedroom so he could hide a surprise for me that I'd 'find eventually'. ACK!!!!!!!!! How bad is it that I admit to searching my room ALREADY and he's only been gone 30 minutes! LOL The funny thing....I made him a card and tucked it in his bag so HE will find a little surprise eventually too! LOL I'll let you know what I locate MINE!
Jeanne....7.25 miles already, hugh? FEELING GOOD, I assume, right? And don't ya just LOVE sleeping in every now and then?
Nicole, how did your day go? Your workout???
Keep on truckin', mama!

Nobody talk of sleeping in to me PLEASE. I can't remember the last time I slept past 6:00.
However this morning was heaven with little red in childcare running at 9:30 am. I was watching trainers the whole time, looked pretty good. I have 3 free training sessions and planning on using them to learn more UB workouts with pull down machines, etc..
Gayle- I'm sure that you will settle in this weekend. Maybe even appreciate the quiet with yourself. I would be of the same mind with him there and X there, the man knows where his bread is buttered. And I think the 2 of you are soul mates, can't mess with that girlie. You are one speedy runner, I have never been fast even in my "younger" years.
Jeanne I am so glad you had a good ankle run!
Pam How goes it?
Michele thinking of you, hope all is falling into place, do you get to go South for spring break?
Laura - How are you doing?
Where the heck is T?
All right kids are calling, I decided to practice Gayle's just-just-put-a-sweatshirt-over-stinky-running-shirt method this morning, probably time to do something about that.
Oh don't know if I said, my American Cancer Society shirt came in the mail. So excited to wear it, does this make me a real runner now?

Nicole, the last couple days I got up at 5am, so 7:08 was really nice Yes, you're a real runner!
Gayle, it's not bad at all that you're searching already! It reminds me of Survivor & the hidden immunity idol Yes, I feel pretty good. I wish my speed was better, but I'm doing better than I figured I would be.
T's been on FB, but I haven't seen hide nor hair of her here

Hi all, I think T is having a really tough time right now with her health issues, she said to tell everybody hello and she will be back.
We need our team pic.
Hope you are doing well Pam!

So who IS doing our team pics??? I missed that tidbit.
I'm going to send T a message on FB in a second.
Nicole, yes, it ABSOLUTELY makes you a runner! FOREVER!
OK, while DS was on the treadie doing today's C25K workout, I hit the floor and did abs and got in a bit of a stretch. Felt AWESOME to get those 2 things done instead of totally putting them off till the next cardio day! Oh, and DS fell off the back of the TM and scared the living carp out of himself! LOL I bet he doesn't let THAT happen again.
OK....so will you ladies bear with me this weekend as I talk about D? lol Feel free to IGNORE any of the babble. So.....he just called from the airport which just simply made my NIGHT! And I DID find his hidden immunity idol, I mean surprise....ready? It's a bit embarrassing, but what's a little 'talk' among friends, right? He hid a silk blindfold between the mattress and box spring on my side of the bed...he knew I would be changing the sheets this weekend! GREAT!!! Now I'll be thinking about THAT all weekend! LOL
For accountability, I want to share today's menu:
M1: 3 egg whites, 1 slice Ezekiel toast
M2: same thing
M3: gala apple, 2 lite string cheese
M4: banana and PB2 (not enough food, so will adjust this meal tomorrow)
M5: HUGE salad with organic spring mix, can of light tuna, 1 T balsamic vinegar and 1 T EVOO, with 1 Wasa cracker
M6: (planned during Survivor) greek yogurt, 3/4 C Kashi Go Lean
Keep on truckin', mama!
