Team Challenger***Sometimes it's the Little Things***
I think some of you know I've been VERY frustrated with my workouts lately. So I took another Oly lifting class today after my regular CF class. Let me tell ya...it did nothing to ease the frustration. I understand the lifts. I see where the violent explosion, the hip thrust and huge shrug, the high and tight elbows all give momentum to the bar and help get the weight overhead. I understand why it's important to keep the bar close to the body and really pull yourself under the bar. I get all that! But actually doing it is a different thing. Too much goes through my mind and I inevitably mess something up. That all leads to a big fat FAIL.
Today while that was happening (and not just to me, by the way) the trainer stopped us and for the umpteenth time reminded us that this stuff takes years of practice. Years. And even the elite Oly lifters are always having to work on technique. He encouraged us to celebrate the little victories. So I was thinking and thinking and all I could come up with was that I'm starting to land with my feet in a better position...not so wide. I know it's not much, but it made me feel better that there was SOME improvement at least.
Guess I'm just rambling, but it made me think of Trackers. I always read about people being frustrated with their lack of progress instead of celebrating the progress they HAVE made. So people...tell me what positive progress you have made lately.
Pictures in the morning cuz really it's still Thursday here and I don't have to yet.

Wow Carol, you look awesome in thise...you should convert over (we have 4 QB's and 3 RB's). I totally get what you mean about years of practice...it's alot like Golf...you read all these things to help and then when it's time to swing, FAIL because you are thinking about too many things. FYI..I still have not recovered from the snatch comment the other day! Hey Die and Elle!

Do you have fun doing CF Carol? Enjoy the workouts and do your best cause that's all you can do. Get in those jeans Diane Hi Elle When's p90x start Mike? Monday? What are your goals for this round? No work for me today Got a bunch of computer pieces coming next week. Maybe I can build an operational machine. Angie went with me to the gym this morning. She walked and I did weights. Mike-Funny you should mention golf. That is totally one of the examples he gave!
Mark-I love CF, but it does get frustrating at times. Like golf, I imagine.
Die-10 hours is nothing to sneeze at! I'd kill for that!
Thanks Elle.
There will be no converting for me. I just don't happen to own any Chargers boxers. Yet.
Embrace the suck.
